Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings screen, or visit matchu.dating/delete-account for step-by-step instructions. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile data within 30 days.
Why are photos blurred?
Matchu uses a “soft reveal” — photos stay partially blurred until you and another user mutually match. This creates a safer, more intentional experience focused on personality first.
How do I verify my profile?
Identity verification is not currently available. If we introduce it, we will announce it in the app and update our policies. Verified profiles will display a blue checkmark.
What are MatchU+ and MatchUX?
MatchU+ and MatchUX are premium subscription tiers that unlock advanced features such as unlimited likes, advanced filters, read receipts, and more. Pricing and availability will be shown in the app at launch.
I’m having trouble logging in.
Make sure you’re using the correct email or phone number. If you use SMS login, check that your number is entered with the correct country code. If issues persist, email support@matchu.dating.
Someone is harassing me. What should I do?
Your safety is our top priority. Block the user in-app immediately and report them to our Trust & Safety team at safety@matchu.dating. For emergencies, contact local authorities.
Billing & refunds
All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. For refund requests, billing issues, or subscription management, please contact the store you purchased through. Matchu does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds.
